PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Omar-John C. Chavez is an associate in the firm who concentrates his practice on complex commercial litigation, including toxic torts and products liability, as well as insurance coverage litigation and counseling. He has also represented a wide range of small to mid-sized private companies in commercial litigation matters. In the toxic torts and products liability fields, he has represented contractors and manufacturers of industrial materials. In the insurance coverage field, Omar has counseled and represented insurers in litigation concerning property damage coverage for environmental site remediation, bodily injury and property damage for construction and manufacturing events, and professional malpractice.
Prior to joining Smith Stratton, Omar was the Appellate Law Clerk for the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.
